Wings of War Campaign
Angus Wargames club members across all ages have taken to the Wings of war miniatures game with great enthusiasum and it was decided to design a competition that everyone could take part in during the year which didn't tie members to playing on a certain date or at a certain time.
A set of qualification conditions were designed to decide who qualified to be considered at the end of the year for the trophy .
Any game needs a minimum of 2 players
Each game lasts a maximum of 10 turns.
An official battle report has to be filled in by the players concerned in each game and submitted to the organiser.
A pilot has to participate in a minimum of 10 games over the year before they are considered for eligible for the best pilot trophy.
A formula was designed to take into account the difference in the number of games played over the year by pilots and includes Games played/Opposition shot down/pilots lost/Number of games without being shot down with points being awarded for each element.With this producing a points table.
Because players are able to play 2 to 3 games in an evening even with 6 or 7 pilots taking part
everyone is able to participate without the campaign taking over to much of the gaming year.
